What is the Unity Fund?
Now more than ever we need to come together as an LGBT+ community and support one another – and by supporting Pride in London you’ll be helping us to build our vital new Unity Fund.
Your efforts and the money you raise will support Pride in London and also the Unity Fund, which will help improve the lives of LGBT+ people in the UK.
Where will the money go?
The Unity Fund has already distributed one-off grants to grassroots organisations that are advocating for, addressing the needs of, and providing support for LGBT+ people within the UK, every day and in times of crisis.
They are projects that will provide advancement to the LGBT+ community or emergency funding for LGBT+ projects, groups or organisations that are on the frontline in supporting the community during a crisis or major incident.
In order to apply for this grant programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• LGBT+ (grassroots) organisations that are advocating for and addressing the needs of LGBT+ people within the UK
• LGBT+ organisations operating with a yearly budget of not more than £100,000.
• Established as a charity, Community Interest Company (CIC) or Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). If neither, consideration can still be given, but applicants must be able to provide evidence of six months’ continuous activism and have a fiscal sponsor
• Able to provide a suitable plan on the use of the funding (and for the avoidance of doubt, the funding should be aimed at promoting LGBT+ programmes)
